Jakob Grubbström b. 1986, is the musical director and founder of Cantores Amicitiae. He studied conducting at the School of Music in Piteå, Sweden under the tutelage of professor Erik Westberg and Petter Sundkvist as well as at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff under the direction of Sarah Tennant-Flowers and Neil Ferris.

Jakob also studied classical guitar at The Royal College of Music in Stockholm and performs frequently as a chamber musician and soloist throughout Europe.

Since graduating Jakob has worked with choirs all over the UK and Europe in a wide variety of settings including large scale choral works with orchestra, professional vocal ensembles as well as small chamber ensembles.
